A Living Document

Rooted in the American folk tradition but shaped by everything from country radio and gospel harmonies to garage rock and basement recordings, Paul's music lives somewhere between structure and instinct. There are echoes of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan in the storytelling, but also the looseness of John Lee Hooker and the directness of Jonathan Richman

Songs often unfold in simple chord patterns, carried by voice and feel rather than precision. The recordings span from teenage tape experiments to home demos, basement band sessions, and informal performances. Across all of them, there’s a consistent thread: emotional truth over technical perfection.

Songs

Working-Class Absurdist Protest Rock

A chaotic, funny, and strangely biting rant about bills, corporations, and falling apart at the seams. Feels like flipping through late-night TV with your life unraveling in the background—loud, loose, and just self-aware enough to hurt.

"SIGECO O SIGECO, I can't pay my bill..."

Offbeat Romantic Folk

A crooked love song for the ones who don’t quite fit right. Awkward, sincere, and a little sideways—where affection shows up as confusion, curiosity, and quiet devotion.

"That girl's nice to look at, she's not too skinny, not too fat"

These are the kinds of songs we can write together in a session — whatever your heart needs that day.
